Our young learners of CIE 1 at CPS Global School, Thirumazhisai enthusiastically explored the fascinating world of 100 Square Number Patterns through an engaging hands-on mathematics activity. As the newest members of the Primary section, the students displayed remarkable curiosity, confidence and independence while solving individual number puzzles.
Each child received a unique puzzle chit with missing numbers to complete using the 100 square. After learning that numbers increase by 1 across each row (ones) and by 10 down each column (tens), the learners applied this understanding to identify the missing numbers in the grid. With keen observation and logical thinking, they confidently solved the puzzles independently, strengthening their number sense, place value understanding, and problem-solving skills. The activity encouraged every child to think critically, work with confidence, and remain actively engaged throughout the learning experience. At CPS Global School, Thirumazhisai, we strive to nurture confident and independent learners by providing meaningful, hands-on learning experiences that make mathematics engaging, enjoyable, and relevant.
