The first tool shaped by human hands shaped the future of humankind.
Our CIE 5 learners travelled back to the Stone Age through an engaging Tool Making Activity. Using clay and craft materials, they recreated tools such as hand axes, spears, scrapers, arrowheads, hammers, and sickles. Students confidently presented their models, explaining each tool’s purpose and how it helped early humans hunt, gather food, build shelters, and stay safe. The activity enabled learners to understand how simple inventions transformed daily life and supported human survival. This hands-on experience fostered creativity, historical understanding, critical thinking, and confident communication, bringing the innovations of early humans vividly to life.
