Our CIE 3 learners enthusiastically participated in a laboratory activity on “Movement in Liquid Particles Using Food Colorant and Paint” to understand diffusion. They added drops of food colorant and paint to water and observed how the colours spread without stirring, demonstrating that liquid particles are constantly in motion. Students recorded their observations, discussed their findings, and confidently explained the concept. They also related the experiment to everyday examples such as ink spreading in water, tea mixing in hot water, perfume fragrance spreading in air, and sugar dissolving in water. The activity fostered observation, critical thinking, scientific inquiry, and made learning engaging and meaningful.
