As part of the French Week celebrations, our CIE 2 learners enthusiastically celebrated French National Day (Bastille Day) with a fun-filled, interactive classroom activity.
Working collaboratively in small groups, the learners explored the vibrant culture of France by creating colourful French-themed posters inspired by the French Tricolour. They illustrated famous landmarks such as the Eiffel Tower, traditional French foods, national symbols, and simple French vocabulary that they had learnt in class. Through drawing, colouring, labelling, and teamwork, the children brought their creativity to life while strengthening their language skills.
The activity encouraged learners to develop collaboration, communication, creativity, and cultural awareness, making French learning both meaningful and enjoyable. Their excitement, curiosity, and teamwork were reflected in the beautiful posters they proudly presented.
The celebration provided a wonderful opportunity for our young learners to experience the joy of learning a new language while appreciating the rich culture and traditions of France.
Vive la France! Joyeuse Fête Nationale!
