Our learners had an exciting time participating in the Mystery Theme Hunt as part of the Word Kinship competition. Working in teams, they carefully observed picture clues, discussed their ideas, and eagerly attempted to uncover the hidden theme. The room buzzed with enthusiasm as each group shared predictions and celebrated their discoveries.
Once the mystery theme was revealed, the learners enthusiastically brainstormed and recorded a wide range of related words on chart sheets. They challenged themselves to go beyond basic vocabulary by adding describing words, action words, and compound words connected to the theme.
The activity not only strengthened vocabulary and word associations but also encouraged communication, teamwork, critical thinking, and creative expression. Most importantly, the learners thoroughly enjoyed the spirit of collaboration and friendly competition, making the experience both meaningful and memorable.
