CPS Global School hosted an insightful awareness session under the aegis of the Èlan Wellness Campaign, facilitated by the dedicated IAYP volunteers. Designed exclusively for the Early Years faculty, the session was led by Ms. Priyanka Srikumar from Sakya Foundation for Children, who shared expert perspectives on recognising and supporting young learners with speech, developmental, and behavioural challenges.
Emphasising the pivotal role of early intervention, Ms. Priyanka empowered educators to recognise early developmental indicators, including limited eye contact, hyperactivity, and challenges related to concentration and communication. She further explored the influence of excessive screen exposure and reduced social interaction on early childhood development, while offering evidence-based strategies to cultivate inclusive learning environments and engage parents with empathy, sensitivity, and confidence.
The session culminated in an engaging interactive quiz, through which the faculty demonstrated a strong grasp of the concepts discussed and their preparedness to translate these practices into the classroom. Participants commended the session for its relevance, depth, and practical value, describing it as an enriching professional learning experience that reinforced their commitment to fostering the holistic growth and well-being of every child.
