CPS Global School Welcomes Families Across Stages: Orientation 2026–27

Written by cpsglobalblog

CPS Global School, Thirumazhisai, hosted a series of orientation sessions this year, welcoming students and parents across the Early Years, Lower Secondary, IGCSE, and IB Diploma Programme to the 2026–27 academic journey.

The Early Years 1 Orientation introduced families of first-time learners to the Cambridge Early Years Framework, a play-based curriculum nurturing language, literacy, mathematics, physical development, and expressive arts. Parents met the EY1 team and learned about daily routines, safety protocols, and how separation anxiety and progress are managed.

The Cambridge Lower Secondary Orientation for Grades 6–8 introduced the Cambridge International framework, leading to Checkpoint Exams in English, Mathematics, and Science by Stage 9. Parents explored the curriculum’s breadth across languages, sciences, and the arts, guided by the five Learner Attributes — Confident, Responsible, Reflective, Innovative, and Engaged.

At the IGCSE Orientation, the Coordinator outlined the Cambridge International Curriculum’s subject groups and assessment patterns, while subject teachers offered firsthand insights into classroom life, helping students choose combinations suited to their strengths.

The IBDP Orientation welcomed the Class of 2026–27, with Head of School Ms. Sreedevi Varakavi introducing the IB Learner Profile and the three core components — Theory of Knowledge, the Extended Essay, and Creativity, Activity, Service. Faculty presented subject pathways and assessment frameworks.

Each session closed with lively Q&A discussions, leaving families informed, reassured, and excited for the year ahead.
