“The journey of human evolution reveals how humans adapted and developed over time.”
As part of their learning on the Evolution of Human Beings, the enthusiastic learners of Grade 5B & 5C participated in a timeline creation activity on the stages of evolution. Students explored Homo habilis, Homo erectus, and Homo sapiens, studying their characteristics and drawing pictures that represented each stage.
Working collaboratively, students arranged the stages in chronological order and created timelines with illustrations and short descriptions. Through this activity, they learned how humans gradually evolved from using simple tools to developing advanced thinking and communities. The activity strengthened their understanding of history while enhancing creativity, collaboration, and sequencing skills.
