Internship Experience in Healthcare and Public Health @ CPS Global School, Anna Nagar

Written by cpsglobalblog

Our AS Level students KAYAL DHANAPAL, CHANDHANA MANIVANNAN and SATHVEKA MOZHI recently had the opportunity to participate in a two-week summer internship at Sri Ramachandra Institute of Higher Education and Research, gaining valuable exposure to the broader landscape of healthcare and public health. The programme encouraged students to look beyond clinical medicine and explore the diverse systems and responsibilities that contribute to community well-being.

Through sessions on public health, workplace safety, basic life support, and real-world disaster management case studies, students developed a deeper understanding of preparedness, prevention, and emergency response. The internship also strengthened essential skills such as communication, collaboration, critical thinking, and problem-solving through interactive and practical learning experiences.

Enriching and thought-provoking, the programme offered meaningful insight into the interdisciplinary nature of healthcare while fostering a greater appreciation for the role of public awareness, planning, and service in protecting lives and supporting communities.
