Exploring Electric Circuits: A Hands-on Learning Experience at CPS Global School, Thirumazhisai

Written by cpsglobalblog

Learning Physics becomes truly meaningful when students are given the opportunity to explore, create, and experiment. As part of their learning in electric circuits, Class 6 students participated in an engaging hands-on activity designed to strengthen their investigation and problem-solving skills. During the session, students were introduced to the concept of paper circuits, where simple electrical circuits can be built using everyday materials. Using copper tape, button cells, LEDs, and paper, students designed their own circuits creatively while applying the concepts they had learned in class.

Students carefully planned and constructed their paper circuits, ensuring that the connections were complete so that electricity could flow through the circuit. Through these designs, students not only learned how circuits function but also discovered how electrical components can be used in creative and innovative ways. The activity allowed students to understand key concepts such as open and closed circuits, the flow of electricity, and the importance of proper connections. At the same time, they developed important skills such as teamwork, creativity, and critical thinking.

This innovative and fun-filled activity helped students realize that Physics is not just about theory in textbooks but about experimenting, designing, and discovering. By building their own paper circuits, students gained a deeper understanding of how electrical circuits work and how such simple ideas can be applied in real-world creative projects.
