Our student, Darshana Padmakumar of AS Level embarked on an inspiring journey into scientific research, driven by a passion for biology and curiosity about emerging healthcare innovations. Guided by her mentor and biology facilitator, Ms. Sindhu Priya, she chose a challenging and cutting-edge topic: Stem Cell–Based Therapy for Parkinson’s Disease.
With remarkable dedication, she reviewed over 40 research papers from PubMed and Google Scholar, analyzing and synthesizing the findings to structure her work as a formal scientific review. Over several months, the manuscript underwent multiple rounds of refinement, with her mentor providing invaluable feedback that enhanced its clarity, depth, and academic rigor.
After careful revisions, the paper was submitted to peer-reviewed journals and was proudly accepted and published in IRE Journals.
Beyond her personal success, Darshana has also stepped into a leadership role as a Core Member of Synergy ’26, motivating her peers and juniors to explore research activities—a commendable effort that exemplifies curiosity, perseverance, and the spirit of scientific inquiry.
