The internship at Brick and Mortar, Guindy during the Christmas vacation offered our senior secondary students a valuable opportunity to gain practical insight into how a business operates in a real-world setting. Interns were introduced to the organisation’s vision, structure, and work culture, helping them understand its overall business model. Through industry-focused discussions, they explored various departments and learned how different roles align with specific personality traits, enabling them to reflect on possible career paths. A detailed analysis of Brick and Mortar’s website served as a case study, providing exposure to backend operations and highlighting the role of digital platforms in improving business efficiency. Interactive query sessions encouraged open communication and helped clarify key concepts. The internship concluded with student presentations, where participants shared their learning outcomes, building confidence, teamwork, and presentation skills. Overall, the programme was engaging and informative, equipping students with practical knowledge and a stronger awareness of professional environments.
