Five of our A-Level students participated in an engaging interaction with Mr. Lankalingam, Founder and Managing Director of Lanson Toyota, and his son, Mr. Shivanka, Joint Managing Director. The session offered rich insights drawn from years of entrepreneurial experience spanning two generations, blending business wisdom with meaningful life lessons.
Mr. Lankalingam shared reflections on risk-taking, opportunity assessment, and the importance of pursuing work that brings genuine fulfillment. He emphasized that long-term success is best driven by passion rather than external rewards, encouraging students to choose career paths aligned with their interests and values.
A particularly powerful takeaway was the emphasis on attitude over aptitude. Both the visionary Chairman and his successor highlighted that personal values and mindset play a far greater role in success than qualifications alone. Mr. Shivanka reinforced this through the “4H pillars” — Harmony, Holistic respect, Honesty, and Humility.
The session concluded with students expressing heartfelt gratitude to the speakers and the Lanson Toyota team for such an inspiring and memorable experience.
