“If you have to put someone on a pedestal, put teachers. They are society’s heroes.” Guy Kawasaki
This Teacher’s Day, the student council of our school came together to show our collective gratitude for our teachers and the impact they have on each one of us. While we believe that neither words nor numbers can do any form of justice to express how much our teachers mean to us, we also believe that actions supersede them.
This week, the student council presented our teachers with warm wishes, a wide smile and a flower as they arrived at school in the morning – a token of appreciation for their efforts and care towards ensuring that we turn out to be the best versions of ourselves. The council and members of the student body also joined forces to create poster-boards for our teachers to get their pictures clicked. Only one day to show how much we value our teachers does not suffice, and we should try our best to remind them of that on a daily basis.
To those teachers who taught us our ABCs and a²+b²=c², to those teachers who help us when we fall and show us how to rise again, and to those teachers whose impact we will never ever forget in our lifetime – we wish you all a very happy teacher’s day!
