On 20th July 2025, students from IB1, IB2, and A-Level Art embarked on an inspiring and enriching experience as they attended the Art Show at Lalith Academy. The event was a vibrant celebration of artistic talent, showcasing the creative expressions of 50 accomplished artists and presenting a remarkable collection of around 150 artworks.
From traditional mediums to contemporary styles, the exhibition offered students a unique opportunity to explore a diverse range of artistic approaches. More than just viewing the pieces, our students actively engaged with several artists—asking insightful questions, learning about their techniques, and uncovering the deeper meaning and processes behind many of the works.
These firsthand interactions sparked curiosity and inspiration among the students. Hearing directly from practicing artists about their creative journeys, challenges, and methods gave the students a fresh perspective on art-making. It was more than a visit—it was a live classroom of creativity and expression.
This valuable exposure has already begun to influence our students’ thinking, and we look forward to seeing how they apply these newly gained insights and techniques in their upcoming projects. The experience not only broadened their understanding of contemporary art but also reinforced the importance of observation, experimentation, and self-expression in their artistic development. It was a memorable and motivating opportunity, one that will undoubtedly shape their future creative endeavours.
