“The ballot is stronger than the bullet.” — Abraham Lincoln
CPS Global School, Thirumazhisai, recently witnessed the excitement of democracy in action through its much-awaited Student Council Elections. The campus buzzed with energy as students displayed creativity and enthusiasm in their campaigns — from striking posters to powerful slogans and inspiring promises. The Election Day was filled with anticipation as students exercised their right to vote through the traditional pen-and-paper method. The pride of having the ink mark on their left index finger symbolised their role as responsible young citizens. With teachers as election commissioners and candidate representatives as booth officers, the entire process was carried out with discipline and transparency.
An impressive 92% voter turnout reflected the students’ commitment to shaping their student government. The vote counting was conducted with fairness under the supervision of teacher squads. To further ensure the selection of deserving leaders, interviews were held for key positions, including Head Boy, Head Girl, Discipline Monitor, and Sports and Wellness Captain. As the school eagerly awaits the Investiture Ceremony, these elected leaders are ready to take on their roles with integrity and purpose. At CPS, leadership is not just about standing out — it’s about standing up, speaking out, and leading with responsibility.
