CPS Global School, TMZ celebrated World Tourism Day on 27th September on the special occasion when India has been chosen as the host country to celebrate World Tourism Day 2019 on the theme ‘Tourism and Jobs: A better future for all’. World Tourism Day celebration was started by the United Nations World Tourism Organization in the year 1980. Tourism is the mirror of social, economic, cultural, political values of a country. Everyone loves to travel, to explore new culture to taste new cuisine and indulge in a new language. Our students had loads of informative sessions and fun activities that would help them make their travels memorable and safe. CAIE 1 and 2 had a ‘Travel With Me’ activity where the students spoke about their travels and shared their wonderful memories with their peers. CAIE 3 and 4 had ‘Incredible India’ activity where they travelled around India in the map and discussed about the speciality of each state. CAIE 5 had ‘Pack Smart’ activity in which students learnt how to organise and pack their travel bags. Students from CAIE 6, 7 and 8 had an interactive session on how to travel safe. Details such as not divulging your personal details, keeping your baggage safe, being alert in a new place, how to use traveller’s cheque , how to stay safe in a hotel and who to approach in case of an emergency was discussed. Bon voyage to all our learners!
