Strike and score – ELP 3B @ CPSGS ANN

Written by cpsglobalblog

We’ve been really working hard on getting our subtraction skills right! To make it effortless and natural, we whipped up this fun little game called “Subtraction Bowling”

With bowling pins neatly arranged, children played a game of strike and score to peruse the concept. Children would also learn number sentence parallelly. How many pins in total, how many fell, and how many remained were calculated by the 2 teams that played against each other.

Games are good teaching approaches because the competitiveness that arises is healthy and there is the urge to do better and work together .This also compels the mind to work fast and arrive at solutions sooner.

Finally the scores obtained by each team member was totaled and the winner decided by choosing the greater number.

One game, multiple concepts applied!
