Greater than > less than < how do we help children remember them?
We all know the story about the hungry crocodile. Not only he was hungry….he was also greedy, always looking for a larger share. A clear understanding of numbers paves way for better mathematical skills. Creative and fun approaches like such hasten comprehension and reduce the load of learning.
What better way than using this story to explain the greater and lesser concept to our children at ELP 3.
They were given a crocodile and two numbers placed on either side to compare to. It was now their turn to feed him!
With a sound knowledge of number sequence up to 100, the children were easily able to turn the crocodile towards the greater number and help him fill his stomach!
