Food is an important part of one’s being and with technology came food that can be processed and packaged using various methods in factories. When eating a home-cooked meal, we normally know the ingredients and their benefits we also know the actual items we eat. But, do we know the items we eat when consuming processed food?
Hence, the students of CAIE 2 spent their day on 10.1.18 analyzing various packaged food items. They worked in pairs to locate the nutritional facts of an item. The students then, made a note of what the label said on an item and analyse what was actually used to understand which food is healthier to consume and which is not. The students also made not that the proper choice of food items is always important for a healthier living.
