The International Mother Tongue Day was celebrated with great pomp and show. The celebration was organised by the Language department.The children from CAIE1 to CAIE 7 were attired in ethnic dress along with the teachers.The assembly conducted by the teachers and children were thoroughly entertained by a repertoire of songs and scintillating dance performances by the students. The essence of the day was envisioned through food as food is synonymous with mother tongue. The family that eats together stays together. All the students brought ethnic snacks based on the second language they have opted for. So the spread ranged from bhel puri to gulab jamun to murrukkus to croissants to danish pastries to nachos and tacos. Each and every item was unique and tasty. Through this amalgamation of food the cultures and languages mingled with each other.
