“For to be free is not merely to cast off one’s chains, but to live in a way that respects and enhances the freedom of others” – Nelson Mandela

Freedom is nothing but the chance to be better. We at CPS GS hold this to our hearts and strive to achieve strength in character and emotions to be better citizens for one self and for those around us.

The beautiful morning brought back dormant memories for all of us here at the CPS GS family of the struggles, sacrifices and survival for faith, hope, patriotism and above all – Independence!

The young ones from CAIE 4 started off the assembly by praying to the Gods above for continued blessings and strength to persevere. It was followed by an awe-inspiring thought and the daily update of news. The students of CAIE 4 and CAIE 6 each performed beautiful patriotic songs gave goosebumps when the audience stood up due to pride, joy and remembrance. The teachers donned the singing hat and gave a striking performance by singing another great song about the country’s independence adding on to the celebration.

This was followed by an address by the HOS who spoke about the freedom struggle and how it is important to make judicious use of freedom and independence. And what better place to start than right here at CPS GS!

We also celebrated the Independence Day of our friends from Korea who also commemorate independence on this very same day. The students rendered their national anthem which was a grand patriotic sight to behold.

The assembly concluded with the entire students and teachers gathered, singing our National Anthem. A moment of Unity and Integration than ever before, JAI HIND!
