380 years! From Madraspatnam to Madras to Chennai the journey of the city from being the main kingdom of the Pallavas to ‘The Detroit of India’with more than one-third of India’s automobile industry being based in the city has been incredible.
CPS Global paid tribute to this bustling metro city in style. The week long celebrations began with our facilitators and students discussing about the vivid culture and heritage of Madras. Our students worked together and made a fantabulous collage with pictures and facts of landmarks, monuments, food and famous personalities of Chennai. The students thoroughly enjoyed researching about Madras and collecting lesser known fascinating facts about the city.
The special assembly with a stunning back drop of the Chennai Central Station was a fitting culmination to the week -long extravaganza. The rendition of the State Song of TamilNadu- ‘Tamizh Thaai Vaazhthu” by the students of CAIE 4,5 and 6 created a sense of oneness among the students. In the true spirit of being Chennaites, the tiny tots of ELP dressed in colourful traditional costumes set the ramp on fire with their catwalk. CAIE 1 and 2 performed an exuberant dance that got the rest of the school tapping their feet and cheering them along.
Chennai is synonymous with the legendary yellow-black autos. Our students had a blast posing for photos in the doozie auto photo booth.
Before we sign off, Wishing Madras Many More Happy Birthdays To Come!
