The festivities were vibrant and beautiful at CPS GS Thirumazhisai with the creative display of assembly of dolls to project Jal Shakthi the theme of the year as the whole school gathered as one family to celebrate the occasion of Dussehra.
A special assembly that explained the relevance of Dussehra, also called Vijayadashami gave an upbeat start to what was to be a memorable celebration of color, music and worship. The highlight of the special assembly were our tiny tots – who assembled as the miniature versions depicting the nine avatars of goddess Durga. These nine avatars are also a reminder to the unassuming world of the strength that womanhood carries. The students also gave a brilliant rendition of the shloka, Ayigiri Nandini that gave all a sense of calm.
The special assembly was followed by the next event that garnered a huge roar of joy and happiness from the students. Yes, time to do Dandiya and Garba!!
The students and teachers did not need to be told twice, as in true CPS GS spirit, the entire family came together to dance to the tunes of the cheerful Garba music.
As the celebrations reached its peak, we rejoiced the victory of good over evil. The silent prayer in all our CPSites’ heart that we will fall, but rise and conquer our challenges and fears and move towards a greater good!
A Time For Celebration, A Time For Victory Of Good Over Bad, A Time When The World Sees The Example of the Power of Good. Let Us Continue The Same True Spirit.
