A snap and a clap – ELP 3C @ CPSGS ANN

Written by cpsglobalblog

There was learning about the usage of punctuation and sight words at ELP 3 C.

Amidst words many how do you identify a sight word? At the beginner level rehearsals are what would bring that  familiarity.

But rehearsals mostly lead to boredom and children do not discern the benefits of it. For that not to set in, and to make things entertaining and engaging ,teachers usually opt for games or interactive learning.

We had the snap and clap to reinforce learning. The rule was to use a high clap at the beginning of a sentence, a snap for a sight word and a front clap for any punctuation.

It was all fun, challenging, brain stimulating and a quick thinking activity  and the best part was no one kept track of time !
